COVID-19

Dear Patients and Parents,

We look forward to seeing you at your upcoming appointment. Our #1 priority will be to provide the highest quality orthodontics in a safe environment to our patients and our team.  That being said, we will continue to adhere to strict CDC/OSHA infection control guidelines and will be implementing some additional changes to make your visits as smooth as possible.  Please read the following carefully to help us achieve that goal.

1) Only healthy patients who can answer NO to the following 4 questions will be seen:

·         - Have you been ill within the last 14 days?

·         - Have you had a fever within the last 14 days?

·         - Have you traveled outside of the country in the last 14 days?

·         - Have you been in contact with a COVID-19 patient or been exposed?

If you answer yes, we will kindly reschedule your appointment when you are well.

2) Prior to leaving your home or office for your appointment, please brush your teeth and make them “sparkle” before your orthodontic visit. We will not have any public facilities. The tooth brushing areas, waiting rooms and game room will all be closed. Please wear your own mask to your appointment, if available. If you do not have a mask, we’ll provide one.  Masks are still required in orthodontic offices (even with a vaccine).

3) Our schedule and patients will be spaced out accordingly to allow for social distancing. Only patients may enter the office and we’re asking that parents and other family members remain in the car (unless you are here for a new patient consultation).

4) Upon arrival, please call/text our office and advise the receptionist that you are here.
We will ask you COVID-19 screening questions. We ask that you remain in your vehicle and we will let you know the moment your chair is ready. Then, you may head inside and your assistant will do a COVID-19 screening procedure.

5) The screening procedure consists of:

·         - Take the patient’s temperature
** Any patient with a temperature of 100.4 (recommended by the CDC) or higher will be re-appointed.

·         - Have the patient rinse with a peroxide mouth rinse

·         - Sanitize the patients hands with hand sanitizer

·         - Perform the scheduled appointment
6) Upon completion of the appointment, the patient will be dismissed and escorted to the front door. If the patient is a minor, we will walk them to the vehicle and give you a treatment update at that time. You/your child may schedule their next appointment in-office before leaving, or you may call us to schedule.

*If you have any special concerns or needs concerning the aforementioned, please feel free to call our office at 804-748-3234 or text us at 804-376-9288.

Thank you for your patience and understanding to this “new norm” for the time being. We look forward to continuing your adventure to a beautiful smile!

Sincerely,
Drs. Davis, Nyczepir and staff
